¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 envelope of Oriental sesame salad dressing mix
½ cup oil 1 to 2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 lb. fresh shitake or button mushrooms, stems removed
Mix vinegar, soy sauce, salad dressing mix, oil, hot pepper and garlic in a small bowl. Pour over mushrooms in large bowl. Let stand 30 minutes to marinate. Drain, reserving dressing mixture.
Place mushrooms on greased grill over medium coals or rack of broiler pan 3 to 5 inches for heat. Grill or broil mushrooms 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until tender and slightly crisp, turning and brushing frequently with reserved dressing mixture. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
