InSpire’s May makeovers are the mother/daughter look-a-like win- ners, Kim and Alyssa Verfuertz. This was a prize for the first place winners. The stylists at Mane Stage love to get the first glance at the winners of the contest and see how we they can enhance their styles to complement each other. Mother Kim called to set up the appointments, and decided to treat her mother and younger daughter to a salon day as well.
After talking with Kim about the length and style of her hair, Brenda Kuhl, stylist decided to enhance Kim’s natural color by foiling in some high lights. Some long layers were put in to frame the face and to complement Kim’s long hair style. This would allow her to keep her hair long and to grow it out more naturally with little maintenance. Brenda used the Aquage line of products for shine and frizz control, this will protect Kim’s hair from blow dryers, sun, and thermal styling.
Alina Schmidt, stylist, placed some shades of blonde high lights throughout Alyssa’s hair with foiling techniques. Blonde high lights brightened Alyssa’s skin tone. Alina styled with Paul Mitchell shine products, this will enhance the color and keep the hair looking and feeling healthier.
Mane Stage made this a special day for the whole family. Candy Riege, stylist and nail technician, scheduled time for Kim’s younger daughter to get hair and nails done and grandmother had some primping time as well. Mane Stage says, “It was wonderful to meet Kim’s happy fam- ily and we would love for them to call Mane Stage Salon in the future for all of their families hair care needs.”
Dawn DeVries, Independent Mary Kay Consultant, provided the skin care and color cosmetics. Kim used Timewise skin care for oily skin.
