Makeover Secondary Story

January 2017 Makeover of the Month

The person who received the makeover is actually my daughter Megan. She was in desperate need of some attention. She has been going to school for nursing through Moraine Park technical College in Beaver Dam. She has one more semester to go and she will be a RN.

She has worked very hard to get this far, even though there has been many obstacles over the years, she is close to finish line! She had her last test for the semester this week and finally had a moment to herself. She also works at UW Health in Madison as a LPN. She mainly works in the oncology unit but also floats around to other departments.

Needless to say she is a very busy young lady. She has not had her hair done in almost 9 months. She was in desperate need of some time to herself and to get herself spruced up. She needed something that was still easy and able to be pulled back, but was open to a new look.

It was my pleasure to work on my daughter, it was nice to have the time with her, and also it wag wonderful giving her something that will make her feel beautiful.

The look I did on her was inspired by Avedas Fall/Winter Trends look from their Foklor Collection. From her hair to her makeup, we incorporated Avedas techniques.
With her hair, I deepened her base colore to a rich dark chocolate with some warm honey highlights using the Eclipsing technique to achieve the look.

I then trimmed the length with it slightly angled forward and created long square layers throughout the length of her hair, concentrating on some fringe around her face. We also gave her some textured bangs. It’s amazing how bangs can totally change the shape of your face.

To style the hair I used Color Conserve Shampoo and Dry remedy shampoo Brilliant Damage Control spray and Pure abundance Style -Prep to prepare. Dry remedy oil on her hands.

I then added some Phomollient Styling foam for weightless control and shine for the hair. Finished with Air control for soft but durable hold. For her make up I used Beechwood Tinted moisturizer for her base, Birch concealer for blemishes and dark circles. I blended and set with the Cream Power. On her eyes I used Callalily, Golden Cypres, Rose quarts and Chia shadows and Slate Shimmer eye defined to line her eyes.

I used Black Mosscarra for her long lashes and Sepia Brow pencil to define the eyebrows. Rose Blossom is her blush color and Pink Lupine lip glaze on her lips.
